2010 THE YEAR OF VALLEY HISTORY
When our Museum Vice President Gary Fredburg recently gave the Museum Archives this vintage postcard, it puzzled us. Was there a cathedral in San Fernando? Where in our valley was this impressive Catholic school. The answer is that the saint Fernando doesn't just belong to the California valley named for him. An important Spanish saint, there are churches, schools, parishes and even towns named for him in Europe and throughout North and South America. This school happened to be in Texas.
