Re Woodman Ave Elementary I attended from 55 to 59. We initially lived in an apartment building (4445 Murietta Ave) south of the river and had to walk north on Woodman from Milbank because Hazeltine didn't cross the river until the 101 was constructed (a kid who lived in the building was hit and killed comming home from school on Woodmand south of Valleyheart because there was no sidewalk. I remained in the neighborhood after I was married, bought the house next door to my parents from a friend for $27,000 in 1974. Stayed friends with many of the inividuals others have mantioned (some became famous: Barry Kerzin isthe Dali Lama's personal physician) from the Boy Scouts Troop 74, Dan Dixon, Bruce Miller, Tory Wolf, my wife met Tori while she was traveling with friends in Europe, in the 70s (interesting coincidence!)
