Angels overlook the crypts at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Boyle Heights. Many early Catholic families from the San Fernando Valley once buried their loved ones here. Angelic spirits are widely used in religious and artistic images throughout Southern California. It is said that more people share a belief in angels than in any religious creed or belief system.
