Dubbed by nay-sayers as Fawkes Folly, the concept was ridiculed by a less than visionary press. The men and women who broadcast the news from Burbank today no doubt would think a good monorail system might come in handy at rush hour.

They belong to a bike club operating out of a Burbank cycle shop, but got away from me before I wrote their club name down.
