DISCOVERING OUR VALLEY   2011

Meeting at historic Rancho Cordillera del Norte in Northridge, The Museum of the San Fernando Valley's Public and Popular Arts Commitee held its second meeting this week. Under the leadership of Northridge businessman Scott Sterling, the Committee will formulate and recommend an Arts Policy for The Museum's Board of Directors, and establish a program to stimulate public art in the Northridge area of the Valley. As the Committee proceeds it will document a template for use in creating a demand for public art across the greater San Fernando Valley.

COMING OF AGE IN THE VALLEY IN THE 60s

Coming of age in the San Fernando Valley in the late 50s and early 60s was a time fun and innocence - the Viet Nam war was a distant thing.
