ENTERING THE NEWHALL PASS FROM THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

A passenger train climbs into the Newhall Pass from the San Fernando Valley, passing the descending Los Angeles Aqueduct.

Wasn't the train called the Owl? Unless the photo was tinted green, this photo was taken during the spring after a good rain.

It is also apparent to me now that Foothill Road must have been the old stagecoach road through the pass, as it is more to the level ground then is San Fernando Blvd to the left.
