This is AWESOME! My dad took the whole fam-damily to Otto's once a week when we lived in Van Nuys. Eventually, we were going to Bob's Big Boy. What a trip to see this post card!!!!!!

Yes, I remember The Pink Pig well! Mom and I used to go there in the 1960's, in two different locations about a block from each other, either on the property shown in this post card, or close by. We were a little later than this incarnation, which I'm guessing is the late forties and early fifties. I treasure my childhood memories of the Old Valley and dining at The Pink Pig. I adored the shish kebob. Thank you!

Otto’s Pink Pig was a great place back in my day. I was lucky to work there about ten years starting in 1969. The lines to get in and the waiting list could be two hours on the weekend nights! We were always busy at lunch also with a fabulous buffet lunch that many of the doctors would come to from across the street. It was a shame that it closed. Otto was a wonderful man to work for. He cared about his employees and his customers alike. Nobody at the time had senior dinners, but Otto decided to do this for the community around us. It worked out really well and people loved it. You could eat off the kitchen floor it was kept that immaculate always. I’m not sure why it closed, but it was a great place. We had many movie stars all the time coming in for dinner. Rock Hudson was a frequent visitor and was so nice and very shy. I always tried to put him and his party in a nice booth so other customers didn’t stare at him.

Carol Smith Young left the previous comment. I tried to go back and leave my name, but it didn’t work.
