The Museum of the San Fernando Valley was honored today (Saturday April 16, 2011) to interview the distinguished American musician, John Setar. Interviewing Mr. Setar for the Narrating Lives - Oral Histories of the San Fernando Valley was Dr. Gerald Fecht, president of The Museum. The videographer was John Baird.

John Setar is a popular member of the Big Band Alumni which meets regularly in the Valley. John began his career playing in the big band of Jess Stacey. Later he played for Buddy Morrow, Freddy Martin, Jerry Gray, Bob Crosby and Billy Vaughn. His splendid career also included being a regular on the Steve Allen Show and the Andy Williams show.
