Zelzah Train Station 1914 (click on image to enlarge)Before it gained its present name, Northridge was called originally Zelzah (some say it was Zelzah Colony) and later North Los Angeles.
Zelzah Bunkhouses 1919 Credit for these photographs hasn't yet been fully established, and mysteries surround the origin of the name Zelzah. What or who these "bunkhouses" served is yet to be discovered.
