In our "proactive" planning for The Museum of the San Fernando Valley, security is an important issue. Can our Museum, its archives and artifacts be accessible to the public and secure at the same time. The sad losses at the Reagan Library demonstrate that museum institutions of all sizes face very real security issues.
Security policies are now being studied by the Museum Community. Your input, ideas and criticisms are most welcomed.
