FABULOUS PHIL'S DINER IS OPEN IN THE NO HO - SO MUCH FUN - SO MUCH HISTORY

DISCOVERING OUR VALLEY    2011

Despite some road blockage next door, historic Phil's Diner is open to a new century. A fabulous tribute to visionaries Casey and Melissa Hallenbeck, Phil's Diner is at long last opened to the public. And,,, The Museum Community could not be more excited! We think meeting a friend or taking someone you care about at the Diner will not only be a treat to great food but a wonderful connection to San Fernando Valley history as well. (Who's that at the end of the counter... could it be Marlon Brando rehearsing his role in the Wild Bunch?)

Phil's Diner is located at 5230 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood - at the entrance to Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Click on images to enlarge)

An example of Casey Hallenbeck's attention to detail, inside and outside of the historic diner.

Make sure to introduce yourself to one of our favorite people, Melissa Hallenbeck. She and Casey are  often at the Diner greeting customers.

At Phil's Diner you can get a traditional Caesar salad for $ 8, or a flat iron steak sandwich for $ 13 with caramelized onions, gorgonzola, greens - on a baguette - french fries or fruit.... (I.m hungry just thinking about it. These and other prices on the menu include the tax.

When you join Richard Hilton (above) or Bronwyn Ralph on The Museum's historic walking tour of the No Ho, they'll tell you lots about historic Phil's Diner.
