Kirby Pringle has returned to Southern California after completing his graduate studies at Loyola University Chicago. The young historian is a graduate of California State University Northridge, where he participated in CSUN's fabulous digital on-line historical library. Cool. I grew up in Burbank--any idea what intersection this is?

I think this is where the present Burbank Mall is located. We'll pass the actual location along when we pin it down.

We know everyone occasionally makes mistakes. This image looks more likely to be either Van Nuys Blvd. near Victory ca. 1960's, or Sepulveda Blvd. close to LAX.
