NO HO WALKING TOUR
Despite the heat and smoke from the mountain wildfires, we had a good turn out this Saturday for The Museum's walking tour of historic North Hollywood. Special thanks to Director of Museum Tours, Richard Hilton, Fred Berk and Michael Stevens for their help making our in-tourists comfortable and welcome.
Pio Pico was the last governor of Alta California for the Republic of Mexico. With ancestors from Mexico, Europe and Africa, he would come to represent the many peoples now living in California. Pio Pico was born in the Mission San Gabriel on the 5th of May 1801. He died on September 11, 1894.
