
Before it gained its present name, Northridge was called originally Zelzah (some say it was Zelzah Colony) and later North Los Angeles.

Credit for these photographs hasn't yet been fully established, and mysteries surround the origin of the name Zelzah. What or who these "bunkhouses" served is yet to be discovered.
