ANOTHER AMAZING VISCOM CONCEPT FOR THE MUSEUM

2010   THE YEAR OF VALLEY ADVENTURES

The VISCOM Center is located in the Art Department of California State University Northridge, and many of its “Core” members are from the Art Department areas of Visual Communication that includes Graphic Design, Animation, Photography and Illustration.

Here a VISCOM student presents small folded invitations to join one of The Museum's walking tours. Like an intriguing note passed to you when you were a kid in school, the little packet opens to reveal "Tour Lights" on one side and contact information about The Museum on the other.  These concepts came from Student number 2.

VISCOM students were challenged to meet realistic printing budgets for our emerging Museum.

The VISCOM students responded to impassioned statements by Michael Stevens, Vice President for Museum Development, and Jerry Fecht, President of The Museum about our goals to "Educate, Engage, and Inspire San Fernando Valley residents and visitors about our amazing historic heritage - and the value of exploring our communities. The actual size of this folded message is about 2/3rds of your drivers license. It can be folded to present the logo of The Museum of the San Fernando Valley or the walking tour message.

Click on the above message to enlarge it. Let us know your thoughts about these students' efforts on behalf of their-and-your Museum.   1 (818) 347-9665
