RORY CALHOUN PART OF THE VALLEY ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY HISTORY

DISCOVERING OUR VALLEY        2011

If you explored historic North Hollywood today with Richard Hilton, you are likely to have learned about the ruggedly handsome actor Rory Calhoun.  With a wildly checkered past, Calhoun went on to become one of filmdom's most sought after performers.  As the story goes, he was discovered in the Hollywood Hills above Pickwick Stables in Burbank, by the actor Alan Ladd (whose wife was a theatrical agent.) Calhoun lived in North Hollywood and died in Burbank, California.
