Zelzah School c. 1911This one room, once a bunkhouse in old Zelzah, school had one teacher. It was roughly where Canby and Rayen Streets in modern Northridge.
Owl Trucking around 1900 bringing barrels to a Pickle Factory. Before it was Northridge, the north Valley community including Porter Ranch was first called Zelzah, North Los Angeles, and then Northridge Village.
