Davis Family Photo Album c. 1890 - Gift to The Museum of the San Fernando Valley from David High - July 2009When Harriet and Hammond Davis moved to Lankershim / Toluca (Now North Hollywood) in the late 1800s, they were determined to keep important family traditions from England. Among these was tennis. They introduced the sport to their new neighbors the Weddingtons, and when the families intermarried, tennis became part of their San Fernando Valley lifestyle.
