PHYLLIS HANSEN WROTE:
Thanks to Mother Nature for her extreme cooperation and the beautiful
balmy evening, esp. the musical accompaniment from the singer in the
tree.
Thanks to the San Fernando Valley Historical Society for the gracious
hosting and sylvan setting.
Thanks to Dr. Richard Doyle for The Idea to begin with, and the
extreme efforts at providing the art, the lighting, the seating, the
display area, the recording, the encouragement, the whole enchilada.
Thanks to Greg for whipping the displays into something a
professional exhibit designer would have spent hours on--but you did
it far better in just ten minutes.
Thanks to Richard Arroyo for the expert technical assistance and
coaching, and I'm especially grateful for the "packing up" help.
Thanks to Jerry for the extensive promotion, the encouragement, the
cheerleading and your belief in Orpha!
Thanks to Liane for the video-to-be, and Linda for her still camera
work.
Thanks to Shel for the pre-event set-up help and the note-taking
duties.
Thanks to Ron for adding to the excitement with his Orphanalia...and
his presence--it's a long schlep back to Pomona.
Thanks to Miles for the transport of the piece de resistance, "Mrs.
Forbes."
Thanks to EVERYONE for just being there. And to all of you Klinker
relations who wished me well from afar, some who added their stories
to the program.
It was fun, wasn't it? Couldn't have been a more perfect evening.
