On Sunday, February 25th, the Pacoima Historical Society is collaborating with The
Museum of the San Fernando Valley to present a Black History Month celebration.
Both organizations are inviting valley residents to come experience the visual and oral
history of African Americans in the San Fernando Valley.
The
event will feature entertainment, with The Museum Board Member SFV,
event committee member, DJ/MC Eric Stuart hosting the festivities. There
will be large photo exhibits, some vendors, and food. It promises to be an
educational and enlightening time for all.
Invited guests to include:
CA State Senator, District 20, Caroline Menjivar*
City of Los Angeles Councilman, District 12, John Lee*
Mel Wilson, Civic Leader; former candidate for Los Angeles Mayor; Realtor
* Scheduled but not guaranteed to appear in the event.
