“Stan Cline’s Nostalgia Gallery” Opening Reception (10/21/17)

The Museum of the San Fernando Valley’s first solo artist exhibition features longtime Chatsworth resident and painter - Stan Cline. For the past 40 years, Cline has been rekindling memories of the past with his art.

Early in his life, he realized that neighborhoods were constantly changing and evolving. Fueled by his civic pride and fear that everything was disappearing, he embarked on a personal journey to preserve the landmarks by painting popular locations.

The “Stan Cline's Nostalgia Gallery” exhibiting now through January 31, 2018 at The Museum of the San Fernando Valley consists of 15 original acrylic paintings including the “Bob’s Big Boy, Toluca Lake 1965,” “Pacific Electric Trolley Station, Burbank 1941, “Bob’s Big Boy Van Nuys 1961,” and “SP Daylight, Stone Point Chatsworth, 1950.”

Cline's paintings have been showcased on many radio and television shows including "The Everywhere Show," NBC's "Sunday Show," ABC7's "The AM Show," KHJ-TV's "Midmorning LA," "Mr Blackwell Show," KCRW's "Ruth Mills Show," and KJOI's "Sunday Forum." He was also featured in articles for the Los Angeles Daily News and the LA Times.

Opening reception will be on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

All are welcomed to meet the artist during the opening and walk down memory lane. Cline will be signing any prints purchased at The Museum during the opening as well.
