"Words On Tour" (Poetry Walking Tour and Workshop) FREE EVENT

The Museum of the San Fernando Valley is hosting a unique poetry walking tour and workshop through the heart of the North Hollywood Arts District!
Join us as local poets perform original pieces at historic locations including St. Paul’s First Lutheran School, Los Angeles Fire Dept. Station 60, and the Lankershim Train Depot and others, guided by PE and in collaboration with the LA Poet Society. Attendees will be encouraged to create their own original work during the tour -- notebooks and water bottles will be provided. Our tour ends at Groundwork Coffee, where coffee samples and a small reception will follow. This is a FREE family-friendly event!
This special tour will only happen on June 17, 2017 and is a part of the National Endowment of the Arts' Big Read program, in participation with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
Meet us at 10:00 AM at the Amelia Earhart Statue at W. Magnolia Blvd & Tujunga Ave. Tickets are encouraged but not required. More information is available at the Facebook event page.
