A VALLEY FULL OF SURPRISES (Part 3)

VALLEY MARKET TOWN
Vintage postcard - gift to The Museum from Gary Fredburg 2015

In the 1950s, the villages of the edges of San Fernando Valley were poorly
connected by unsure surface streets. Towns like Canoga Park and Sylmar had
occasional festivals and parades, but young families had little reliable entertainment
or shopping options. Perhaps a sign of the vast malls to come, Valley Market Town
emerged on Sepulveda Boulevard.
Do you recall the kiddie rides or snack shops at Valley Market Town?
Make your  memories  or photographs of Valley Market Town part of our history.
