BUILDING A GREAT MUSEUM FOR THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
Van Nuys High School was only 23 years old when Earl March was a student
in the Reserve Officers Training Corps. He was a part of a plan put
into place during the Civil War by President Abraham Lincoln in 1862, to
get American colleges to produce officers for the Union Army. Federal
monies would be provided to colleges and high schools from that time to
this.
