CHERISHING OUR VALLEY 2012
In the mid 1960s, Anheuser-Busch opened its famous Busch Gardens in northern Van Nuys. The gardens were an outgrowth of the Busch family's personal gardens in Pasadena. For many years, after the closing of the gardens in 1979, exotic birds visited homes in the north and west San Fernando Valley.

And, oh, the fragrance that was exuded everywhere on the grounds, of hops, hops, and more hops. Yum!
Of course, the log ride was cool, although everybody got wet, but it didn't matter because the weather was hot during the summer.
Later, during the Northridge Earthquake, a train derailed right where the park used to be.
