Among the most important film celebrities of his time, Clark Gable was born on February 1st, 1901. His famous role of Rhett Butler in the pre-World War II film Gone With The Wind made Gable a world-wide movie star.
In 1939, Clark Gable married one of the most beautiful women of his era, Carole Lombard. They made their home on a small ranch in Encino, California. Gable often referred to his marriage to Carole Lombard, the happiest years of his life.
The Museum of the San Fernando Valley collects, studies and exhibits artifacts and information about San Fernando Valley Notables.
