This event focuses on celebrating Asian-American Pacific-Islander Heritage month by engaging the San Fernando Valley Asian/Pacific Islander businesses and neighbors who have become part of the fabric of the Valley.

Jackie Langa, Pan-Asian Pacific Arts & Cultural Festival Director and Treasurer of The Museum, explains: “It is The Museum’s role to give a central voice to the distinctive histories of all populations in the SFV whose cultures, races, religions and ideas contributed to the Valley’s character, growth and development.”

This festive and family friendly event will celebrate many diverse Asian cultures through their art, music, dance, food and more at The Museum SFV location on the grounds of the beautiful Rancho Cordillera del Norte in Northridge.

Festival highlights will include vendors’ booths, food trucks, demonstrations, onstage entertainment, children’s art workshops and the opportunity to visit the Museum and its exhibits. Visitors will be offered an immersive experience.

Festival entrance and parking are free.

Note: Attendees will pay for food and purchases from vendors.

Ms. Langa further explains: “We are trying to direct the conversation to celebrate SFV Asian-American/Pacific Islander residents in their specific neighborhoods for their day-to-day strengths and importance to the growth of the Valley while also examining their challenges as an ethnic community.”

A SPECIAL NOTE:  Last year, The Museum SFV updated its historic inclusive timeline of the San Fernando Valley through 1900 and received accolades.

With support from the L.A. Department of Cultural Affairs, The Museum SFV has just completed Phase II updates from1900 through 1950 and will unveil its next 5 panels on May 18 – on Festival day – as well.

History buffs should also join us on the Museum SFV grounds at 2:00 pm for the engaging reveal.

If interested in becoming a sponsor or vendor, please contact Jackie Langa at Jackie.Langa@TheMuseumSFV.org.  Vendors may pay their fee using this QR code.
