PAI ARTIST SPEAKER SERIES
Artist: EMMY LAM
Date: Saturday, April 4, 2026
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Cost: $10/person

Come join us for a delightful afternoon with Emmy Lam as she shares the art of Chinese Calligraphy.

Founder of the Chinese Calligraphy Academy, Emmy Lam has introduced thousands of children & families across Southern California to the artistry, discipline, and cultural heritage of this timeless tradition.

Chinese calligraphy is one of the oldest and most revered art forms in the world, with origins dating back over 4,000 years to inscriptions on oracle bones and bronze vessels during the Shang Dynasty.

It evolved into a refined, expressive art using brush, ink, and paper to create five main scripts: seal, clerical, regular, running, and cursive. Renowned for embodying the writer's emotions, it is considered a master art of self-expression influenced by Taoist and Buddhist philosophy.
